Wheelchair Van Service
Murrysville Medic One currently operates 2 wheelchair vans. These vans are equipped to transport patients who do not fit ambulance requirements for transport, but need assistance in being transported to and from their destinations. The 2 wheel chair vans enable a patient to be transported in a wheel chair secured within the vehicle. Some of the destinations that this services provided by the wheelchair vans are:
- Transport to and from doctors offices
- Transport to and from the emergency department when an ambulance is not required
- Transport to and from nursing and personal care homes
- Transport to some special events
Unit 610-2—2000 Ford Windstar Wheelchair Van. Public Utility Commission Licensed (P.U.C.). This unit is capable of transporting 2-wheelchair passengers. Equipped with a non-hydraulic rear loading ramp.
Unit 610-4—2004 Mobility / Ford E350 Wheelchair Van. Public Utility Commission Licensed (P.U.C.). This unit is capable of transporting 4-wheelchair passengers and 3-passengers not confined to a wheelchair.

Unit 610-5—2006 Osage Wheel Chair Van. Public Utility Commission Licensed (P.U.C.). This unit is capable of transporting 5-wheelchair passengers and is equipped with a Braun Hydraulic Lift.
